  Alright Old skool, maybe this one isn't fair b/c 60% of early artist are from NY. With that said, your fav artist from the 4 coast. Keep in mind, this doesn't have to be who you necessarily think is the absolute best, but your favs.

  1. East – KRS1, Honorable – B.I.G
  (Love jigga's music, arguably G.O.A.T, being old skool, my heart been down wit Kris from day 1)

  2. West – Cube, Honorable – 2PAC
  (though I respect PAC's music/influence, I love Cube to death He put me on the West coast scene official! I know, Ice T & Too Short put it down first but no one flowed like Cube, period!)

  3. Midwest – Eminem, Honorable – Common
  (can't say North b/c there really isn't a rapper from the Dakota's or Montana)

  4. The Dirty – UGK, Honorable – Outkast
  (Another tough one, I love Outkast and have all their stuff but UGK is more my steelo, that southern drawal funky gangsta flow wit it; R.I.P. Pimp C ) Geto Boys were actually my first 20 yrs ago, but UGK's resume eventually overtook them as they didn't stay together that long anyway and Face wasn't even a member of the original geto Boys.

  West Coast : Cube … No doubt
  Dirty South: Ok dont shoot me ya'll I was stationed in GA in 1988 Luke & @ Live Crew
  Mid West : Thats tough with an Old School choice so I'm gonna go with Eminem on this one.

  Chaz, Man I forgot all about 2Live Crew. Hey, u said u were stationed in GA. What branch of service, and what base? Man, I was stationed at MacDill during that time and Luke & the boys were running Fla and the clubs during 87/88. I got in trouble on base for blasting my 2Live Crew Anthem too loud.(Somebody say Heeeeyy, we want some p***) Man, 2Live own the clubs during that time though in Tampa!

  I was stationed at Ft. Benning from 87 – 90 in the Army. Used to hit Panama city a few hour drive. Yeah clubbing down south during that time was something else. I have a nice collection of old school Booty Music CD's to remeniss to. LOL
